Dear Friends,
I am humbled to share with you why partnering with Friends of Marci is crucial in today’s society to provide the best care for your parents.
Being the youngest of 8 children of immigrant parents who moved to America from the Philippines, I’ve witnessed how my parents worked hard to give us the best quality of life. They worked endless hours to provide the best for us. Whether it was the simplest things in life, from helping with homework to purchasing a piano, my parents did it all because they loved us.
As my parents aged and their health deteriorated, it became apparent that caring for them would be life-changing. Although I have many siblings who could help, we were never prepared for what was to come. The constant concern of who would assist with their daily activities, who would advocate for them when they couldn’t speak, who would be their companion when they didn’t even recognize us, who would manage their medication, and so much more, became overwhelming. The reality is, when you face these challenges without a plan, it can cause conflict and tear families apart.
In 2023, after my mom, who was the matriarch of our family, passed away, I vowed to dedicate myself to living by her legacy. I often wondered, what would Mom want me to do? It was then that Friends of Marci was founded and came to life. As a non-profit organization, I am dedicated to helping families connect with professionals who share the same passion for ensuring our senior citizens have the best quality of life in their golden years.
